What is Kinoptic Art?
the illusion of motion
Kinoptic Art (sometimes referred to as “diagonal art”, “corrugated art” or a “panograph”) is one picture, handmade and assembled from several different images, and can be similar in effect to a segmented photomontage. The Kinoptic technique creates an illusion of movement when the images change as a observer walks by the hanging picture. One actually sees two different pictures, depending on which side the viewer is standing in relation to it.
